Much of the Cornish coastline is very exposed and in October you could encounter some inclement weather conditions. We recommend taking a lightweight waterproof if there is the slightest chance of rain. In order that you can be seen if  the rain or mist descends then fit at least a rear light.

Each particpant is responsible for managing their own personal neutrition. We will supply water and energy drinks, bananas and other energy foods at the feed stations. In addition to this, you should be equipped with two water bottle cages with large water bottles and some additional energy foods to use between the start and first feed station.

Special Diets & Food Allergies

We are unable to guarantee that the normal range of foods provided at our feed stations will be free from allergens such as eggs, nuts, gluten, lactose, wheat, crustations, fish, soya, celery, etc.

Some of our foods will be packaged and will have their ingredient clearly identified on the wrapper.

We will have a 'free from' food box available at each feed station with a small selection of allergen free products but we are unable to cater for individual special dietary requirements. If you have specific dietary requirements we recommend that you bring your own food supply with you.

Post Ride Recovery Food

As dedicated cyclists, we recognise the importance of nutrition as part of your post-ride recovery. We will have catering services available for you to purchase suitable refreshments at the finish (between 11:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs).

Should you find yourself in need of assistance during the Sportive, you will have an Event Support Phone Number recorded on the rear of your Bike Number. You will be able to call this number and our event control team will arrange the appropriate level of asistance for you.

Mechanical Support

All riders should aim to be self sufficient in case of any mechanical problems on the day. We would recommend that you have your bike serviced one to two weeks prior to the event to ensure it is in a good, serviceable & roadworthy condition. On the day you should carry two spare inner tubes, tyre levers, pump and a puncture repair kit. It is not uncommon for riders to suffer punctures during sportive events. Ideally you should also carry a lightweight folding multi tool, available through any good cycle store. We will have marshals at key locations and mechanical support vehicles patrolling the course should you encounter a problem that you are unable to resolve yourself.
